Bobcats Drop Duals to UM

Montana State dropped men's and women's track duals to the University of Montana in Missoula on Saturday. UM's women toped the Bobcats 111-89, while Montana's men won 126-76.
"I really have to credit Montana," MSU coach Dale Kennedy said. "They did a great job covering all the events, and just did an all-around nice job."
MSU's women won eight events, two in record-setting fashion. Ellie Rudy set another Big Sky and MSU record with a winning mark of 14-1.75, while Kylee Zent won the shot put with a meet record 48-0.75. Alli Jones also led a 1-2-3 bobcat sweep in the hammer throw with a regional qualifying mark of 182-7.
Other women's winners included Torey Scheafer in the 400 (57.42), Lindsay Burrington in the 400 hurdles (64.04), and the women's 4 x 100 relay won with a 48.92 mark. Zent also won the discus (148-2), while Kim Berg won the javelin (159-6).
MSU's men won two events. Nick Low won the pole vault (15-9), while Tanner Rauk won the shot put (56-5.75). Kennedy also cited Dustin Degen (204-1) and Nick Lam (204-0) for their work in finishing second and third in the javelin.
