Gillum Finishes Tenth in BSC Champs

Gillum started out the first day in third place, but lost ground daily to become the only MSU player to finish in the top ten. The ‘Cats finished in seventh place with a 965 three-day total, 27 strokes off sixth place Weber State.
“Kelly lost a little confidence today,” head coach Brittany Basye said. “This is sort of a replay of what happened to her last year and I was hoping she would overcome by virtue of experience. It wasn’t the team performance I had hoped for, but the good news is we have everybody back next year.”
Sacramento State ended up winning the tournament by 25 strokes and also boasted the event medalist, Margaux Sheehan who shot a four-over 76 on the last day to hang onto her two-day lead.
