Gillum Hangs On to Fourth Place After Round Two of BSC Champs

Despite cutting yesterday’s team score by fourteen strokes, the Bobcats remain in seventh place in the contest.
“They played much better—they looked more confident today,” head coach Brittany Basye said. “The whole team played more aggressive today. Kelly backed off a little but I believe she’s ready to make a charge tomorrow.”
Weather conditions were near perfect on the course with temperatures in the 70s, sunny and virtually no wind. Sacramento State shot a school record 290 to widen their day two lead to 27 strokes. Sca State's Margaux Sheehan continues to lead the event, sitting four strokes ahead of teammate Heather LeMaster in second place.
Bobcat golfer Kate Steffanich cut 15 strokes off her round one score and scored a 79 in round two.
