Woelk, a native of Gunnison, Colo., completed the race in 51.47.2. Also earning points for MSU were Mandy Bowden, 24th, 52:30.6, and Claire Rennie, 29th, 53:02.3.
Northern Michigan’s Lindsey Weier won the women’s crown in 47:21.0.
In the team race, Dartmouth remained on top of the standings heading into the final day with 511 points. The Big Green is followed by Denver 473, Colorado 429, Utah 426, NMU 380, Vermont 297.5, Middlebury 264, New Mexico 253, Alaska-Anchorage 237 and MSU 229.
Three-time NCAA qualifier Chris Coe paced the Bobcat men’s Nordic contingent placing 20th overall. The Alaska native covered the 20-k course in 58:18.3. Nathan Park finished 25th overall in 59:09.5.
Utah’s Snorri Einarsoon won the men’s title in 55:06.0.
The NCAA Skiing Championships will conclude on Saturday with the slalom events.
