Rudy Nabs Regional Honor

Big Sky Champion pole vaulter Ellie Rudy, who enters this weekend's NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships ranked third in the nation, earned Mountain Region Women's Field Event Athlete of the Year on Tuesday.
A sophomore from Woodland Park, Colo., Rudy posted the best pole vault in Big Sky Conference history in winning her second straight league title with a vault of 14-feet two weeks ago. Rudy has won two Big Sky titles each indoors and outdoors, and earned All-America honors at the 2006 Outdoor Championships.
Rudy competes Saturday at the Championships in Fayetteville, Ark.
