Bobcat Women’s Tennis Team Travels to Colorado

MSU will conclude play against Big Sky Conference newcomer Northern Colorado on Saturday, beginning at 10 a.m.
“We’ve been off of competition for a few weeks and the kids are anxious to be playing again,” said MSU women’s coach Denise Albrecht. “Colorado Christian will be a good tune-up, before we play Northern Colorado in an important Big Sky match.”
Montana State is currently on a two-match win streak, which includes victories over Gonzaga and Eastern Washington.
MSU is 1-1 in Big Sky play. The Bobcats were picked third in the league’s preseason coach’s poll.
Pacing MSU for the third consecutive year are Nuria Hernandez and Nicole Luetolf, who anchor the Nos. 1-2 singles position. They have also combined to notch a 2-3 mark in doubles play.
“Nuria and Nicole set the tone for the rest of the squad,” Albrecht said. “I’m also very pleased with our younger kids and how they have progressed. We are getting good play from our freshmen, Laura Villegas and Ali Griffin.”
