Bobcat Women Close Regular-Season with Weber State

ON THE AIR: All Montana State women’s basketball games will be carried live on My 103.5 FM. Veteran broadcaster Mark Martello will handle play-by-play duties for his second straight season. Martello will begin his broadcast with the Bobcat Pregame Show, originating 15-minutes prior to tip-off. MSU’s games are also- for a fee- webcast at www.bigksytv.org.
SERIES FACTS: Weber State holds a slim 31-29 lead in its all-time series with MSU dating back to the 1977-78 season. The Wildcats won the first meeting this year on Jan. 18, 67-66 in Ogden. WSU has won nine straight in the series.
FAST BREAKS: Montana State clinched a Big Sky Conference Tournament berth with a 77-49 win over Northern Colorado…the berth ends a two-year drought for the Bobcats…Rebecca Mercer notched a season-high 20 points in the win, while Nubia Garcia also hit double-digits with 14 points…MSU shot 52 percent from the field in the second half at Northern Colorado as all 11 players scored and saw between 11-27 minutes of action…Krislyn Wallace paced MSU under the boards with eight rebounds…In its 66-47 loss to Northern Arizona, MSU went 0-of-8 from three-point range to snap a 97-game streak in which it had connected on at least one 3-pointer…the 47 points were a season low…Mercer led the Bobcats with 16 points, while Nubia Garcia and Alyssa Nelson added ten points, apiece…Garcia notched 11 rebounds to led all players under the glass…Garcia’s rebounding total marked the sixth time this season recording double-digit boards...The Bobcats have won 12 games this season to quadruple its output of three victories during the 2005-06 season…in addition, MSU has posted three times as many wins in Big Sky action.
