Golfers Head to Red Rocks

The event takes place Mar. 3-4 at the Oakcreek Country Club. Representing MSU will be Kelly Gillum, LaRae Smith, Shannon Donnegan, Stephanie Simmons, and Hilary Folkvord.
The field for the 2007 Red Rocks Invitational will include 17 teams -- Drake, Eastern Michigan, Gonzaga, Michigan, Montana, Montana State, Nebraska, Northern Arizona, Northwestern, Portland, Portland State, UC Riverside, Utah Valley, Washington State, Western Michigan, Wyoming and William and Mary.
Eight teams return for a second consecutive season to the event, including Gonzaga, Montana, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Cal-State Northridge, Portland State, UC Riverside and Western Michigan. Saturday will be a shot gun start at 12:30 p.m., while Sunday will start at
8 a.m. with a shot gun start.
The medalist for last year’s event was Mary Kate Morgan of Gonzaga.
