Bobcat Men’s Tennis Team Drops Matches

No. 66 UNLV handed Montana State a 5-1 loss in the final match of the day.
The Bobcats lone win came at No. 2 singles, where sophomore Jakob Dybala posted a 6-2, 6-4 win over UNLV’s Jonathan Hooper. MSU’s Kyle McDonald and Igor Vuckovic went to three sets, before eventually losing the final game.
“UNLV has a decent national ranking and I thought our guys competed very well,” said MSU head coach Mike Phillips. “Jakob had an outstanding weekend for us, posting a 4-1 record. Despite going 0-3, I liked the way we battled, especially with such a young team.”
The Bobcats also suffered a 5-2 setback to Southern Mississippi on Saturday morning.
