MSU Hosts Conference Indoor Track and Field Meet

The meet starts with multi events Friday morning at 9:00 a.m. The first field event is at 1:30 p.m. and the first track event is at 4:00 p.m. Saturday features a full schedule of events beginning with multi events at 9:00 a.m. and track and field events at 11:30. A full schedule of events can be found on the MSU athletic website at www.msubobcats.com.
Ticket prices are $6 for adults or $10 for an all-session pass. Student prices are $2 per day or $3 for an all-session pass.
The defending conference women’s champ is Northern Arizona and the defending men’s champ is Idaho State. In the pre-season coach’s poll, the Weber State men and women were picked to win the conference championship. Montana State was picked to place fourth in both men’s and women’s in the poll.
The Bobcats have qualified 71 performances for the meet. Senior sprinter Torey Scheafer from Billings leads the women qualifying in three events, the 55, 200 and 400. Sprinter Dan Johnson from Livingston leads the men also qualifying in the same three events. The Bobcat women have one returning indoor conference champion in junior pole vaulter Ellie Rudy. Currently, Rudy owns the top vault performance in the league. Sophomore Kylee Zent has the number one conference mark in the women’s shot put.
