Taylor Nabs Weekly Award

Montana State guard Carlos Taylor earned Big Sky Conference Player of the Week honors on Monday for his MVP performance in the Bobcat GranTree Inn Classic last weekend.
A 6-foot-1 senior from Memphis, Tenn., Taylor led Montana State to the team title, averaging 21.5 points, three assists, 2.5 rebounds, and two steals as the Bobcats beat Alcorn State 83-57 and Pepperdine 95-89. Taylor scored a career-high 30 points in the championship game, including 23 in the second half, helping MSU wipe out a 14-point second-half deficit. Taylor shot 6-of-9 from the field and 9-of-9 from the free-throw line in the second half. Taylor also had three assists and a steal against Pepperdine, scoring 13 points with three steals, three assists and three rebounds in the win over Alcorn State.
Taylor shared his second Big Sky Player of the Week award with Idaho State's Matt Stucki.
