Bobcats Top 3.0 GPA... Again

Montana State's athletic squads combined for a 3.17 composite grade point average during the 2007 fall semester, Bobcat Athletic Director Peter Fields announced Friday. Over 60% of the school's student-athletes topped the 3.0 mark.
The fall semester marked the 15th consecutive full academic term that Bobcat student-athletes topped a composite 3.0 GPA (on a 4.0 scale). The Bobcats landed 22 student-athletes on the President's List (4.0 GPA), and 14 more earned all A's or A-minuses. In all, 213 of the department's 352 student-athletes topped the 3.0 mark.
The women's track and field squad topped all MSU teams with a 3.55 composite GPA, while the women's basketball team, which finished among the nation's top five teams last year in GPA, finished second at 3.45. Ten of the school's 13 squads topped the 3.0 mark
