The annual border war hits the road this year for a trip to Casper, Wyoming where the ‘Cats face the University of Wyoming for a 3:30 p.m. contest on Saturday. The Cowboys enter the game 4-3 and are coming off a 73-64 win over Colorado.
Last Week:
Dec. 8: lost at Nevada, 82-76
MSU rallied in the second half, but fell just short against WAC foe Nevada on Saturday. Nevada hit 23 of its 28 free throws and became the first team to out-rebound Montana State this season en route to an 82-76 win over the Bobcats. Carlos Taylor led the Bobcats with 23 points.

The Denver women are 3-4 on the season with losses to Duke, Air Force, Creighton and Wyoming. This is the second meeting between the two teams this season. MSU dropped the first meeting Nov. 24, 68-80. Utah State is 2-5 on the season. Their two wins were over Big Sky schools Northern Arizona and Eastern Washington.

Rebecca Mercer recorded a career-high 30 points as the Montana State women’s basketball squad posted a 79-69 win over previously unbeaten Utah Valley.
