Montana State Harriers Announce Award Winners

The ‘Top Gun’ award goes to the individual scoring the most points throughout the season.
Driscoll, a senior from Bozeman, has been MSU’s top runner over the past three years. She recently placed 14th at the Big Sky championships, narrowly missing her fourth consecutive all-conference honor.
Only three MSU women have won all-league kudos on three or more occasions. Driscoll joins Kathleen Monaghan and Darcee Gilbert in accomplishing the feat.
Sophomore Nick Atwood won the men’s ‘Top Gun’ honor. A native of Otis Orchards, Wash., he led the Bobcats in every race this fall.
Atwood placed seventh at the Big Sky meet and 32nd at the NCAA Mountain Region race. He also posted the seventh fastest time ever recorded at the MSU Invitational, in September.
In addition, Kennedy also announced that junior Graydon Curry and redshirt freshman Morgan Dunley were named most improved runners.
Curry, from Gillette, Wyo., finished 12th at this year’s Big Sky meet, after placing 45th as a sophomore. Curry was consistently MSU’s No. 2 or 3 runner this fall and notched the tenth best time ever clocked at the MSU Invitational, two months ago.
Dunley, who didn’t even make the women’s squad, last year, was the Bobcats’ No. 4 performer at the NCAA Mountain Region race, placing 65th overall. The Wenatchee, Wash., native placed 39th at the Big Sky championships. She was consistently in MSU’s top five, this fall
