Bobcat Women Third in Big Sky/Media Basketball Polls

The Bobcats posted a 13-16 overall mark and an 8-8 league slate, last winter. MSU’s 8.5 game turnaround from the 2005-06 season was the 11th best at the NCAA Division I level. Montana State returns four starters and ten letterwinners, including the 2006-07 Big Sky Newcomer of the Year, Rebecca Mercer.
“It’s nice to get the recognition,” said MSU third-year head coach Tricia Binford. “It’s good to see our kids rewarded for all their hard-work.
“However, we all know that the most important thing is where we’re at when the season finishes,” Binford added.
Montana and Idaho State were tabbed first and second, respectively, in both polls.
Fans will be able to get their first look at the 2007-08 edition of Bobcat women’s basketball on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 5:30 p.m. with the annual Blue/Gold scrimmage in Shroyer Gym.
