Henderson Glad to Be a Bobcat

At one point during Montana State's 19-10 upset of Colorado on Saturday, Tyrone Henderson peered across Folsom Field from the visitors' sideline.
"It felt wierd," said the senior who transferred from Colorado to Montana State just a week before the game, "looking over there, knowing I used to be on the other sideline."
Henderson saw considerable action as MSU's nickel back, and was in on three tackles. While he said he wished he could have "had more of an impact on the game," he said there was no feeling of spite or vindication. "I didn't play to try to get back at them or anything."
Henderson was suspended from the Colorado team late in the summer -- by not participating in the team's August camp, he and Bobcat coach Mike Kramer agreed that he had little insight into Colorado's scheme or game plan -- and arrived in Bozeman in a hurry. "I knew I needed to find a place quick." His coach at McClymonds High School in Oakland contacted MSU assistant Junior Adams, a native of the area, setting the wheels in motion.
"This was the only school I talked to," Henderson said. Kramer is glad for that. "Tyrone is an outstanding player, and as time passes he will become a big part of what we do defensively."
Whatever happens in the future, Henderson is pleased with the recent past. "That was my funnest game," he said of MSU's win last weekend. "It's a feeling I can live with for the rest of my life."
