Golfers Rise to Challenge to Finish Seventh

Junior Kelly Gillum led MSU finishing in a tie for 12th place with a score of 230. Gillum started out slow shooting an 80 in round one, but followed with a strong 71 and 79 in her final two rounds.
"Our first round was disappointing," head coach Brittany Bayse said of the Bobcats sluggish ninth place finish. "We had a lack of focus, for sure. But we had a great comeback in round two, especially Gillum and Stephanie Simmons, who shot a 73 in round two."
The University of Idaho won the event, placing two golfers in the top five. The highest Big Sky finisher was Marli Mikulecky of Eastern Washington.
