This weekend, MSU faces off against Northern Arizona at Flagstaff for their first conference road game. Last week, NAU won their home opener against Idaho State on the road, 33-27. DE Aaron Papich (knee)joined MSU’s injury parade Saturday, becoming the fifth starter knocked out of the lineup, and the second on defense. The preliminary determination is that SS Ryan Force (shoulder), WR Josh Lewis (knee), TE Elliott Barnhart (knee) and RB Evin Groves (knee) will also miss the NAU game.
Last Week:
Montana State 10, EWU 19
Eastern Washington used timely third-down plays as the impetus in a 19-10 win over the Bobcats on Saturday. The loss was the third on MSU's current three-game homestand, one which began with tremendously high hopes after a season-opening win over Colorado.

MSU hits the road again this week to play conference newcomer Northern Colorado. The NC Bears are currently 3-1 in Big Sky play, having lost only to Portland State. On Saturday, the Bobcats play at Northern Arizona on the heels of the Bobcat football game. The Lumberjacks are 1-3 in league play, having lost conference matches to Sacramento State, Portland State, and Northern Colorado.
Last Week:
9/21: beat Weber State, 3-0 (30-28, 30-24, 30-28)
9/23: lost to Idaho State 1-3 (23-30, 35-33, 30-20, 30-24)
Senior Kim Stonehouse was almost unstoppable, pounding down a match-high 20 kills, while hitting .294 from the field to lift the Montana State volleyball team to a win over Weber State, in the Bobcat’s conference home-opener. Idaho State’s Nikki Havens recorded a match-high 23 kills to lift the Bengals to a 23-30, 35-33, 30-20, 30-24 win over Montana State Saturday night. Both teams had numerous game points, and an ISU kill by Katie Hurst and a MSU hitting error gave the Bengals the win.

The Montana State golfers tee off Monday at the Hangman Country Club in Spokane for the Inland Empire Invite. Players compete in 36 holes on Monday and 18 on Tuesday. Results will be available at: www.msubobcats.com and at www.gozags.com. The golfers had a week off last week.

The Bobcat harriers head to Missoula this weekend in hopes of pulling off another victory against the rival Grizzlies. Earlier this season, MSU ran past Montana in a dual here. The victory was sparked by a 1-2-3 finish by three MSU freshman runners.
