Bobcat Harriers Pick 3rd/4th in Preseason Polls

The Bobcat men garnered 41 points to tie with Idaho State in the third place spot, behind Northern Arizona (62) and Weber State (59).
The MSU women notched 40 for the fourth place nod, behind Northern Arizona (61), Weber State (59) and Montana (51).
“I think it’s a compliment that our guys were picked third,” said MSU head coach Dale Kennedy. “We have two experienced front-runners and a bunch of sophomores and freshmen.”
MSU will be paced this season by Tony Bachmann and Kurt Michels, who both received All-Big Sky Conference accolades, last fall.
“Fourth is right where I expected our women’s team to rank,” Kennedy said. “However, I think we have a pretty solid team and we might surprise a few squads.”
The Bobcat women will be led by Elisabeth Driscoll, who placed tenth at the 2005 Big Sky Cross Country Championships. MSU will also welcome back senior Ashley Hadway, who redshirted last fall.
