Kramer announced the addition of safety Tyrone Henderson to the Bobcat squad on Wednesday. A former prep All-America (PrepStar Magazine) and all-state, all-metro, all-city and all-league selection at Oakland (Calif.) McClymonds High, Henderson played in all 13 games last season for the University of Colorado, starting all but the Big 12 Championship Game against Texas.
"We're pretty excited to have a guy with a wealth of experience in the Big 12," Kramer said. "Tyrone was third on the team in tackles last year, which shows us that he has ability, he knows how to play, and his brain works. We're hopeful that he takes advantage of this opportunity to be a great football player and a great Bobcat."
Henderson was Honorable Mention All-Big 12 in 2005, finishing the season with 78 tackles (63 solos), two for a loss, five pass breakups and a forced fumble. Against Kansas State Henderson caused a fumble that set up a Buffalo touchdown, registered 11 tackles, and broke up three passes. He made 68 tackles, one for a loss, in playing all 13 games in 2004, and broke up two passes. Henderson redshirted in 2002, and spent the fall of 2003 at Front Range Community College.
Kramer indicated that Henderson, like Wimberly, are able to practice in full pads beginning next Tuesday, and that both will be brought up to speed in MSU's offensive and defensive systems as quickly as possible.

Montana State's practice Wednesday morning was abbreviated by necessity. "We didn't have any running backs," Mike Kramer said with a laugh. While Evin Groves remains "solid as a rock" as the team's starter, backup Isaiah Taito is out for a week with a hamstring injury, and true freshmen Aaron Mason, considered likely for a varsity spot, and Brandon Grimsley, who has also impressed during fall camp, attended the University's new student orientation sessions.

Mike Kramer hopes to take a look at the long-term future for a moment during Thursday's scrimmage before fixing his glare on the near-term and next week's season opener against Colorado. "We'll get a great look at the young pups on Thursday," Kramer said. "I love watching Jordan (Rasmussen) play quarterback, he really has a feel for the position, and I like those young offensive linemen. Watching those young guys is a harbinger of greatness for this program."
