Honors Continue to Roll-In for Bobcat Men’s Tennis Team

The team was selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. The honor marks the third straight season in which Gebicki has received the accolade.
Gebicki, a senior from Lodz, Poland, played at No. 2 singles and combined with Kyle McDonald at No. 1 doubles, this spring. Gebicki recorded a 17-14 overall record in singles action, including 12 victories at the No. 2 position. In doubles play, Gebicki and McDonald posted a 17-8 mark.
Gebicki played a major role in Montana State’s three consecutive Big Sky titles and was a four-time all-conference selection. In addition, he was a four-time all-Big Sky Academic honoree.
An industrial engineering major, Gebicki has posted a 3.99 cumulative grade-point average. His name will be placed on the national Academic All-America ballot. Last spring, he garnered ESPN The Magazine Academic All-America Second-Team kudos.
Also named to the District VII squad were Brian Flaherty, Denver, Bryce Leonhardt, Wyoming, Christopher Johansen, St. Louis, Kevin Bretting, Colorado College, Tyler McCormick, Missouri, Daniel Silva, Wyoming, Shannon Buck, Air Force, Kyle Schafer, Air Force, and Mike Eickman, Nebraska-Omaha.
Student-athletes in the sports of fencing, golf, hockey, rifle, skiing, swimming, gymnastics, tennis, and wrestling, and competing from NCAA Division I schools in the states of Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming, along with Alberta and Saskatchewan were eligible to be nominated for the honor.
