Montana State increased its flexibility on the perimeter Monday, adding 6-5 guard Erik Rush from the Bay area.
Rush, who can play either guard spot or small forward, signed a National Letter-of-Intent, Bobcat coach Brad Huse said. Rush averaged 21 points and five rebounds a game at San Jose's Milpitas High School as a senior, earning all-league honors as a sophomore, junior and senior.
"Erik grew late, he's a late-bloomer physically," Huse said. "He is a perimeter player with very good ball-handling skills. He penetrates and scores in the paint, and is improving his outside shot. Eric is a disciplined kid and someone who we know we can't go wrong with."
