Coming Events:
5/26-27: NCAA Midwest Regional Track Meet at Austin, Texas
MSU track and field will send nine athletes to the NCAA Regional competition in Austin, Texas May 26-27. The list includes two double qualifiers, junior Jesse Allen and senior Josh Henigman:
Erin Jones-Graf: 100 hurdles
Dan Johnson: 400
Elle Rudy: pole vault
Josh Henigman: hammer and discus
Jesse Allen: shot and hammer
Nate Palmer: hammer
Kelli Phillip: javelin
Ashley Jones: hammer
Kylee Zent: shot
Last Week:
Sophomore Ellie Rudy won the pole vault title for the second straight year and Montana State's men dominated the hammer throw to lead the 'Cats in the 2006 Big Sky Championships. Montana State finished third in the women's team race, sixth on the men's side in the event hosted by Eastern Washington at Cheney.
Rudy, who has consistently cleared 13-feet this year and whose best mark of 13-6.25 is among the nation's top 15, won her second straight title in just her sophomore season. She vaulted 13-1.5.
Just a day after Ashley Jones won her second straight hammer throw title, Jesse Allen won his first in leading MSU to a 1-2-3 finish in that event. Allen marked 189-2, Josh Henigman threw 188-5, and Nathan Palmer tossed it 182-10

Coming Events:
5/24-29: Men’s NCAA Singles Championship; Stanford, Calif..
May 24-29, senior Big Sky MVP Federico Ueltschi will become the first MSU singles player to compete in the NCAA Singles Championships. The competition will be held at the Taube Tennis Center in Stanford, Calif., following the conclusion of the team championship May 20-23.
This will be the last weekly sports release for the 2005-06 season. Watch for the return of “This Week in Bobcat Athletics” in August.
