Hammer Time in Cheney

Sophomore Ellie Rudy won the pole vault title for the second straight year and Montana State's men dominated the hammer throw to lead the 'Cats in the 2006 Big Sky Championships. Montana State finished third in the women's team race, sixth on the men's side.
Rudy, who has consistently cleared 13-feet this year and whose best mark of 13-6.25 is among the nation's top 15, won her second straight title in just her sophomore season. She vaulted 13-1.5.
Just a day after Ashley Jones won her second straight hammer throw title, Jesse Allen won his first in leading MSU to a 1-2-3 finish in that event. Allen marked 189-2, Josh Henigman threw 188-5, and Nathan Palmer tossed it 182-10. Below are MSU's finishers on Saturday...
