Montana State senior Erin Jones-Graf leads the heptathlon competition after one day at the Big Sky Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Cheney, Wash.
Jones-Graf holds a narrow 70-point lead over Roshena Duree of Sacramento State. The Harlowton native won last year's heptathlon with 5,191 points.
Bobcat senior Steven Hodge is fifth (4,184 points, 253 points out of first) and Mike Green (4,063) seventh in the decathlon. Hodge won the 2004 title. Shawn Brown is 10th (3,184) for MSU.
