Great Falls Shines on Bobcats Again

Mike Kramer isn't usually at a loss for words, but he was standing on the Memorial Stadium grass late Saturday afternoon.
"I know a lot of words," Montana State's occasionally verbose head coach said with a smile after MSU's three-hour Triangle Classic Scrimmage, "but I don't know what to say about this. People care so deeply. This is a unique event, even on the national scene."
A crowd of more than 3,000 people gathered for the first public performance of the 2006 Bobcat team. The crowd also celebrated former Bobcat greats Travis Lulay and Jeff Bolton, and the program's 2005 Big Sky crown.
Over 200 youngsters participated in the youth football and cheerleading clinics on Saturday morning, just hours after nearly 1,000 enjoyed Lee Corso at the Triangle Classic Banquet on Friday night.
While Kramer enjoyed every individual element of the weekend, he said the cumulative effect is even more important. "This is a rhetorical question," he said, "but how can we not be a better organization on Monday knowing how much people care. Not only in Bozeman, but people across the state care so much about our program. This is a great event."
