Bobcats Head to Great Falls

Montana State takes its first steps into the great unknown on Saturday, competing in the Triangle Classic Scrimmage in Great Falls.
Mike Kramer puts the Bobcats through the paces at 1 pm in Memorial Stadium on Saturday, chasing good weather and good vibes. "We've fought the elements a little bit, but thanks to the people at Bozeman High we've been able to get five practices in, and after Great Falls we'll be almost halfway through," said MSU's seventh-year head coach. "It's been a good kickoff to the spring."
Kramer has been particularly pleased with his team's attitude. "I like the willingness we're seeing in practice," Kramer said. "The guys are showing how intent they are in being a good team. That's very encouraging."
Due to the absence of running back Isaiah Taito (ankle, wrist), Kramer and his offensive staff has moved safety Chase Gazzerro, who plays in his hometown on Saturday, to running back. "We don't want to be left with only one Ferrari in the garage," Kramer said referring to returning starter Evin Groves. "Chase gives us another quality back."
Kramer said the pace and tempo his team has shown early in spring camp is right on track. "We're right where we need to be," he said. "And we're looking forward to hitting each other on Saturday."
