The men’s tennis squad is looking to extend its undefeated conference record this coming weekend at Weber and Idaho State. The women are looking to improve their 1-3 conference records with matches against Weber and ISU this weekend as well.
Montana State’s Federico Ueltschi was named the Big Sky Conference Men’s Tennis Player of the Week last week after leading the Bobcats to a win over Sacramento State. Ueltschi, a two-time Big Sky MVP, is 21-8 this season, and 109-33 overall in his career. This is his third Player of the Week award this season and the ninth of his career.
The Montana State men’s tennis team finished their weekend at the Boise State Invite with a 2-1 mark, their only loss to host Boise State, 1-6. “Our win over Santa Clara was the best victory of the season for us,” said MSU men’s coach Mike Phillips. “They have good talent, but our guys were focused and did an excellent job finishing out the match.” Montana State (11-10) dropped a 6-1 decision to nationally ranked Boise State. MSU’s lone victory came at No. 5 singles where Jakub Dybala downed Piotr Dilaj 6-1, 6-2. The women finished the weekend 1-2.

Outdoor Track and Field

4/15: hosting the Montana State Invitational (non-scoring meet with Montana and University of Mary)
Meet begins at 11:00 AM Saturday at Bobcat Track and Field Complex. Admission is free. Concessions will be available.
Last Week:
Montana State translated its first warm-weather competition of the outdoor season into 14 new conference qualifying marks, a regional mark, and a school record at the Weber State Invitational on Saturday.
Junior Steve Heberly continued his extreme makeover of the Bobcat record book in the 200, besting his own mark with a 21.31, shaving .07 off his previous record. Heberly also spearheaded MSU's winning 4 x 400 m relay team which posted a 3:15.93. Ty Norris anchored that relay with a 47.5 leg.
Sophomore pole vaulter Ellie Rudy set stadium and meet records with a jump of 13-3.75, which also boosted her into the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships.

The women’s golf team will be traveling to Goodyear, Arizona next week for the Big Sky Conference Championships April 17-19.

The Bozeman chapter of the ASA will meet on Thursday, April 13 at noon in the Hall of Fame room in the Fieldhouse.
