Bobcats Ready for 'Home' Practice on Monday

Two days after taking their show on the road, the Montana State Bobcats enjoy home for the first time this spring on Monday.
The Bobcats are scheduled to practice at 4 pm on the fields south of Brick Breeden Fieldhouse, the team's first 'home' practice of the spring. For Bobcat head coach Mike Kramer, the change is welcome. "It's nice to be at home, it's nice to be in familiar surroundings," he said. "We would have been in trouble had it not been for the generosity of the people at Bozeman High School (where MSU practiced last week), but it will be nice to practice on our own fields."
While Kramer's mind was at home on Monday, he allowed it to wander two days and 180 miles back to Saturday. "What a great weekend," Kramer said of MSU's Triangle Classic Scrimmage in Great Falls last weekend. "The weather, the hospitality, Coach Corso, there were a lot of things to be happy with."
Not the least of which was running back Evin Groves, Montana State's returning starter, who appeared in mid-season form Saturday. "He's a really dynamic player," Kramer said. "His play was punctuated by the offensive front, where a couple of neophytes, Lou Saucedo and Adam Decock really showed some outstanding things."
Kramer also praised the core of a young, talented defense. "I like the way we finished in the defensive line," he said. "Bobby Daly and Epikopo King, at inside linebacker, were outstanding. They are fast. Wow."
Kramer indicated that the Bobcats tentatively plan to practice Monday, Tuesday and Thursday this week, with a scrimmage set for Friday afternoon in Bobcat Stadium. Plans will be firmed up as the week unfolds.
