Nelson Named First-Team All-Big Sky Conference

It marks the first all-conference accolade for the Edina, Minn., native.
“Alyssa is very deserving of the recognition,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. “She set the tone for us all season and got the job done on both ends of the court. Alyssa is a leader, and this honor is a testament to her perseverance.”
Nelson averaged a team-best 13.2 points per game in Big Sky action, while shooting 46 percent from the field and 84 percent from the free throw line. In addition, she averaged 2.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Nelson recorded a career-high 29 points against Portland State in January.
