Bobcat Golfers Eighth After Two Rounds

Grand Canyon's Jessica McKay shot a tournament record two-under par 70 and Sacramento slipped by 14 strokes but held on to first place during the second round of the Bobcat Desert Classic in Goodyear, Ariz., on Tuesday.
Montana State freshman LaRae Smith continued her excellent play, firing a 79, while senior Kristina Kurcinka shot a spring-best 78, to lead MSU. The Bobcats' second-round 320 moves the team into eighth.
