The native of Edina, Minn., was named most valuable, best defensive and earned the Bobcat Pride award for her efforts during the 2005-06 campaign.
In addition, freshman guard Anne Phippard was named most improved, while Livingston native Shannon Bosley garnered the program’s community service award.

“Alyssa is a leader by example and always gives 100-percent,” said MSU head coach Tricia Binford. “She is a tough competitor and never stopped playing hard. She set the tone for the type of student-athlete we want in our program.”
Phippard, a graduate of Lake Washington High School in Kirkland, Wash., finished the season averaging 2.7 points and 2.5 rebounds per game; however, she logged five points, 3.1 assists and three rebounds per outing in the second half of the Big Sky season.
“Anne made tremendous strides as a player,” Binford said. “She really started to excel on both ends of the court, and we look forward to her future in our program.”
Bosley, who played in 19 games, including five starts, averaged 2.1 points and 1.4 rebounds, while shooting 53 percent from the field. She was involved with youth in both the Bozeman and Livingston communities.
