“We knew it was going to be a tough match and we just didn’t take care of the opportunities when they presented themselves,” said MSU women’s coach Denise Albrecht. “Nuria (Lozano) and Allison (Fey) both had an outstanding day, and did a great job battling for the full three sets.”
Montana State (6-8) opened the match winning at No. 2 and 3 doubles to take the opening point, before the Grizzlies rallied to take four consecutive singles matches to secure the win.
MSU will face Washington State on Friday and Lewis-Clark State on Saturday.
