Bobcat Tennis Team Opens Spring Break with Victory

“This was a great win over Loyola Marymount,” said MSU men’s coach Mike Phillips. “LMU is always a solid team and this year they are even stronger, with a top 75 win over Yale two days ago.
“The guys are playing well individually and coming together as a team just in time for the heart of the season.”
MSU’s No. 1 standout Federico Ueltschi suffered a 6-2, 2-6, 6-3 setback to LMU’s Nico Terrien. Aside from McDonald, notching wins for the Bobcats were Marek Gebicki, Tejeshwara Chigateri and Jakub Dybala. Due to weather concerns, doubles was not played.
The Bobcats will face UC Irvine, UC Riverside and Rice later this week.
