Beye Earns Big Sky Defensive Award, Trio Lands on First Team

Al Beye earned All-Big Sky Conference Co-Defensive MVP honors on Tuesday, and two other Bobcats earned all-conference kudos for the second time.
Beye, who has tied MSU's single-season blocked shots record (60) and averages 5.9 rebounds a game, became the first Bobcat to earn the league's award for top defensive player. Beye averages 11.8 points, 5.9 rebounds and 2.1 blocks a game. His 103 career blocks is 16th in Big Sky history, and his 2.1 career blocks a game is fourth in Big Sky history.
Seniors Jefferson and Moss each earn All-Big Sky honors for the second time. Jefferson leads the Bobcats with 14.4 points a game, while Moss averages 11.5 points and 6.3 rebounds a game.
The Bobcats host Sacramento State in a First Round Big Sky Conference Tournament game on Saturday at 2:35 pm.
