The Bobcats will face Weber State, Thursday, March 2 at 7:05 p.m., in the Dee Events Center in Ogden, Utah. MSU will wrap up the season at Idaho State, Saturday, March 4 at 2:05 p.m. in Reed Gym in Pocatello.

That Was The Week That Was:
The Bobcats dropped a pair of Big Sky Conference games last weekend in its final homestand within the friendly confines of Worthington Arena. On Thursday, MSU dropped an 88-82 decision to Portland State. The Bobcats held a 63-62 lead with 10:25 remaining; however, the Vikings answered with an 11-4 run and never relinquished the lead. Montana State was paced by Alyssa Nelson with 25 points, including a four-of-five effort from three-point range. Also in double-figures were Scotta Morton 15, Jenny Heringer 10, and Nubia Garcia 10. MSU out-rebounded PSU 35-31 and were guided under the glass by Whitney Connolly with eight rebounds. On Saturday afternoon, Eastern Washington handed Montana State a 63-56 setback. The game was tied at 51-all, before EWU’s Ashley Knight’s layup with 5:40 left gave the Eagles the lead for good. The Bobcats were led by Nelson with 15 points and five rebounds, while Heringer chipped in ten points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals. EWU out-rebounded MSU 46-32. Montana State. For the game, Montana State shot 34 percent from the field and 79 percent at the line.

The Bobcats have been out-rebounded in 20-of-24 games, including double-digit margins in nine contests.

Weber State is 12-13 overall and 6-6 in Big Sky Conference play. The Wildcats have dropped their last four games, including three straight on the road. WSU is 7-5 in the Dee Events Center and 3-2 in Big Sky play on its own hardwood. Last weekend, the Wildcats dropped an 84-66 decision at Idaho State. WSU led 34-32 at the break, but shot 34 percent in the second stanza as the Bengals went on a 52-32 burst. Weber State was paced in the loss by Laura Porter and Chelsey Warburton with 17 and 13 points, respectively. On the year, WSU has been led by Billings native Sara Tuomi, who is averaging 12.6 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Warburton and Porter are averaging double-figures. Thursday’s game is the 500th for WSU head coach Carla Taylor.
