Montana State Women’s Tennis Falls to Golden Gophers

The Golden Gophers captured the opening doubles point and the first four singles positions. MSU captured its two points at Nos. 5 and 6 singles.
Senior Katy Clarke defeated UM’s Jenna Tellefsen 6-3, 6-3, while freshman walk-on McKenzie Hilmer downed Shelby Rohrer 6-3, 6-3.
“To take two points from a team like Minnesota is a super accomplishment,” said MSU women’s tennis coach Denise Albrecht. “It was nice to see our senior come through, and for a freshman walk-on to get a win is phenomenal.”
MSU will host MSU-Billings and Eastern Washington next weekend in the Bobcat-Anderson Tennis Center.
