The Bobcats finish their non-conference home schedule this week at Worthington Arena hosting Utah Valley State on Thursday and Great Falls on Saturday. The UVS Wolverines come to Bozeman with a record of 5-4, coming off a 69-65 loss to Utah State. MSU hopes to avenge an earlier loss at Orem on Nov. 10 where they lost 69-37. The ‘Cats will have to contain Jordan Brady who had 14 points and 7 rebounds in 24 minutes of play in that game.
The University of Great Falls, an NAIA team in the Frontier Conference, is coming off a double win at Walla Walla College in Washington last week.

12/9: lost to Fresno State, 77-82 (OT)
Turnovers plagued Montana State, as the Bobcats let an early lead slip away in a 94-69 loss at Boise State. Nick Dissly led the Bobcats with 18 points, while Carson Durr added eight. Durr grabbed a team-high six rebounds.
Moments away from turning the tables on a team that beat them by 39 points less than two weeks ago, Montana State fell 82-77 to Fresno State in overtime Saturday. The 8-1 Bulldogs converted all eight of their overtime free throws and visited the charity stripe 15 times more than MSU. Carson Durr led the Bobcats with a career-high 19 points. Carlos Taylor added 14 points, while Nick Dissly scored 12 and Mecklen Davis a career-high 11. Importantly, the Bobcats turned the ball over only 10 times after averaging 18 turnovers through the season's first nine games.

The Bobcats host their only home game this week against NAIA foe Western Montana. UMW ranks number one in the nation in blocked shots per game at 5.64 per game, and is led by center Becky O’Neil who averages 15.17 ppg. They are currently unbeaten on the season. Utah owns a 5-4 record and boasts a three-game win streak with the last win coming against Arizona, 66-60.

12/6: beat Utah State, 71-53
Portland’s Laura Thomas converted a layup with five seconds remaining to give the Pilots a 63-62 victory over Montana State. Alyssa Nelson led Montana State with a team-high 14 points, while Nubia Garcia also reached double-figures with 11. For the game, the Bobcats shot 33 percent from the field, including 28 percent in the second half. In addition, MSU converted only 3-of-18 from three-point range.
The ‘Cats received a double-double from Whitney Connolly and converted 29-of-39 free throws to cruise past Utah State 71-53. Connolly, a senior from Ennis, recorded 16 points and 12 rebounds to pace MSU. In addition, Connolly hit 12-of-15 from the free throw line. Also in double-figures was Rebecca Mercer with 13 points.
