Bobcats Battle Wyoming Saturday

The hill remains steep for the Bobcat basketball team Saturday, as MSU meets Wyoming in its annual First Interstate Bank Border War battle in Billings.
After losing an 80-41 decision at Fresno State on Saturday, MSU faces the 5-1 Cowboys who have wins this season over Colorado and UAB to their credit. Wyoming is led by explosive guards Brandon Ewing and Brad Jones who combine to average 45 points a game.
“Wyoming’s guards are athletic and really score,” said MSU coach Brad Huse. “They are typically a big, physical team with good inside play.”
While the Bobcats struggled on Wednesday in Fresno, a bright spot emerged. The Bobcats out-rebounded Fresno State 48-30, led by Ted Morris. MSU’s 6-10 center has double-digits in rebounds in four of MSU’s seven games this year.
“We’ve worked on rebounding,” Huse said, “but it’s as much an attitude. You just have to be determined to go get the ball. We’re doing a better job lately, and Ted has really helped. He is playing very determined.”
The Bobcats and Wyoming tip off at 7 pm in the Metra on Saturday. Good tickets remain. MSU travels to Boise State on Wednesday.
