Jefferson Lone Bobcat All-League First Teamer

Senior receiver Mike Jefferson earned First Team All-Big Sky honors Monday, capping a season in which he finished second in the league in receiving yards a game and third in catches a game.
In spite a 6-2 league record, holding five of its eight league opponents to 18 points or less, and a berth in the Division I Football Championships, Jefferson was the only Bobcat chosen to the first team. MSU cornerbacks Andre Fuller and Kory Austin earned honorable mention honors after finishing first and second, respectively, in passes defended, and sophomore linebacker Bobby Daly was honorable mention after finishing third in the league in tackles. The Bobcats failed to lock up a single spot on the first team defense for the second straight year.
Montana State underclassmen combined for 11 spots on the second team or honorable mention lists. Seniors Ryan Force (safety) and Joe Hirst (offensive tackle) and junior linebacker Epikopo King stand as the only Bobcats chosen as All-Big Sky Second Team honorees.
