The question didn't catch Bobcat cornerback Kory Austin off guard, he just wasn't equipped to answer it.
"That's not in my hands," the Bobcat junior said after MSU's 13-7 loss in Missoula on Saturday. The defeat sent MSU's hopes for a post-season berth into limbo, if doubt. "We were 20 yards away with two minutes left and we couldn't get it home," said MSU coach Mike Kramer. "That's what I'm focused on."
Later, after the Bobcats had arrived in Bozeman, Kramer's thoughts continued had changed little. "I think this is a playoff-quality team," Kramer said, "but if you have a chance to control your own future and don't take advantage of that then you don't have anything to complain about."
The brackets for the NCAA Division I Football Championships are announced on ESPN News at 11:30 Mountain on Sunday.
