This weekend, MSU travels to Sacramento, Calif. for their fourth conference game of the season. Kickoff time is at 7:05 p.m.(MST) under the lights. The Hornets are coming off a Homecoming win against Weber State, 24-21. The win improved Sacramento State to a 2-1 conference record and moved them into a tie for second in the BSC with Montana State.
Last Week:
10/7: Montana State beat Portland State, 14-0 (Homecoming)
Montana State beat Portland State 14-0, in a muddy slugfest on Saturday in front of a sell-out crowd at Bobcat Stadium. Saturday's win marked the return to action of two starters, defensive end Aaron Papich and safety Ryan Force. MSU’s defense dominated on the muddy field, and limited the Vikings to just 132 yards of total offense, the fourth-lowest total of Mike Kramer's six-plus years at MSU. The 'Cats held PSU to 2-for-13 on third down conversions, 0-for-2 on fourth down, and dominated the time of possession 37:01 to 22:59. MSU benefited from a highly efficient offense, featuring true freshman running back Aaron Mason's 128 yards.

Bobcat volleyball hosts league-leader Sacramento State and rival Montana for a weekend of action-packed volleyball, Friday and Saturday nights. Sac State has yet to lose a conference match (6-0) and Montana (4-3) comes off a weekend of two losses to Portland State and Eastern Washington at home.
MSU lost the first meeting of the season to the Grizzlies at Missoula earlier this fall.

10/7: lost to Portland State, 0-3 (30-21, 30-24, 30-20)
Eastern Washington’s Addie Webster recorded a match-high 27 kills to lift the Eagles to a 30-26, 30-24, 24-30, 30-26 victory over Montana State, Thursday night. Kandice Kelly posted a match high 24 digs, but it wasn't enough as Eastern Washington handed the Bobcats a 3-1 setback, Eastern Washington out-hit Montana State .242 to .189 and held a sizable 81-51 advantage in kills, as well.
On Saturday, MSU outside hitters Kim Stonehouse and Laura Viren each posted ten kills, but fell short as Portland State recorded a 30-21, 30-24, 30-20 victory in front of a 1,315 fans in Shroyer Gym.

10/14: NCAA Pre-Nationals at Terre Haute, Indiana
The cross country team begins their run to the NCAA Tournament this coming week at the NCAA Pre-Nationals at Terre Haute, Indiana. The 72 teams at Saturday’s meet are looking for an additional chance to qualify for the NCAA Championship, should they not make the field at the NCAA Regionals the weekend of Nov. 11.
The conference championship will be hosted by Sacramento State Oct. 28.

This week, Bobcat golfers are competing in the Boise State Invite at Banbury Golf Club outside Boise, Idaho. Monday’s round will feature 36 holes and the event will conclude with an 18-hole round on Tuesday. The 15-team field includes Nebraska, Xavier, Santa Clara, University of Wyoming, University of British Columbia, and several Big Sky schools.

Junior Kelly Gillum led the Montana State golf contingent, finishing 14th at the Heather Farr Memorial Invite at Broomfield, Colorado with a score of 229 (80-69-80).
