Gillum Finishes 14th in Tough Field

On a day that was described as “ridiculously windy” by Montana State head coach Brittany Bayse, the average score was 80 on the already-challenging course. Gillum started the day in ninth place after a three-under par second round effort, but fell after posting an 80 in the final round.
“This was a great field,” Bayse said. “One great note is that Kelly shot 69 in the second round. That is awesome and I am so excited for her.”
The rest of the Bobcat team struggled with the course and the weather. The team finished in 16th place, slipping from Monday’s performance.
“We had bad winds today, but despite that, we have a lot of work to do. The ladies have worked too hard to play this poorly,” coach Bayse said.
Next week, the Bobcat golfers travel to Boise, Idaho.
