TEAM NOTES
• Montana State’s win raised the team’s record to 2-3 at home, and the Bobcats have next week’s Senior Day finale to avoid the second home losing record in Mike Kramer’s seven years at MSU – the first was the 0-6 home mark in 2000, which was en route to the team’s 0-11 season
• MSU’s five-game winning streak matches the five straight victories put together by the 2004 squad (all of which came in October and which preceded the team’s 0-3 November) as Mike Kramer’s longest winning streak at MSU
• Montana State is 6-3 on the season, giving the Bobcats five straight winning seasons for the first time since the program ran off nine straight from 1956 to ‘64
• The Bobcats’ six straight winning seasons in Big Sky Conference play Montana State’s longest such string since MSU joined the league as a charter member in 1963
• Montana State is 4-0 on the road for the first time since 1956, when the Bobcats won all four of their road games and finished 4-0-1 away from home
• The Bobcats’ 4-0 road record in 2006 stands in contrast to the team’s marks in 2005 (1-4), 2004 (1-4), 2003 (2-4), and 2002 (2-5)
• Montana State’s 24-18 win over Weber State extends the Bobcat winning streak to six games in the series, MSU’s longest-ever winning streak against Weber State, topping a pair of five-game streaks (1963-67 and 1975-79)
• Montana State has been held to negative yards on its initial play of the second half in the last three games (sack of five yards by Weber State, loss of 10 by Aaron Mason at Idaho State, loss of five by Mason at Sacramento State), and hasn't posted a successful opening drive in the second half since Jeff Hastings converted a field goal at NAU
• Weber State’s 19 first downs is the most MSU has allowed in the last four games
• The Bobcat offense finds an extra gear in road games, averaging 425 yards a game and 6.3 yards a play away from home as opposed to 275 yards a game and 4.8 yards per play in Bobcat Stadium
• MSU finished +1 in turnover margin Saturday, and is -4 on the season
• The Bobcats are +3 in turnovers in their six wins this season, -7 in their three losses
• Jack Rolovich moved to 3-0 as MSU’s starting quarterback in leading the Cats to Saturday’s win
• The Bobcat defense has held five straight opponents to fewer than 100 yards rushing, and now leads the Big Sky in rushing defense
• Chadron State and UC Davis combined to average 156 yards on the ground (332 yards) in games two and three, but the ‘Cats have limited the last six foes to just 80.3 a game (482 total)
INDIVIDUAL NOTES/PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
OFFENSE: WR Donell Wheaton – 6-0, 185, Sr, Harbor City, CA
Donell Wheaton caught four passes Saturday for 51 yards and a touchdown. His touchdown staked MSU to a 7-0 first quarter lead on the team’s second possession of the day.
OTHER NOTES: Jack Rolovich’s lowest statistical output came in one of his most impressive performances, Saturday’s win over Weber State, as the junior threw for 156 yards on 12-for-24 passing against Weber State’s salty man-to-man coverage… Rolovich threw two touchdowns without an interception, the first of his three starts without a pick, raising his TD-to-INT ratio to 8-to-5… Evin Groves led the Bobcats in rushing (29 yards) in his return to action after missing seven games with a knee injury, the lowest total by a Bobcat rushing leader since the UC Davis game, when receiver Michael Jefferson had 24 yards… Aaron Mason’s string of scoring at least one rushing touchdown in four straight games ended Saturday… Michael Jefferson’s 34 receiving yards gives him 805 on the season, 63 from joining the school’s single-season top 10 list

Bobby Daly led Montana State in tackles Saturday with 13, the fifth time in MSU’s nine games he has done so. Daly registered one sack Saturday.
OTHER NOTES: Montana State registered five sacks on Saturday, led by Reyshawn Bobo’s 2.5… Bobo’s 2.5 sacks on Saturday stands in contrast to the five MSU compiled as a team in the first four games of the season…Bobby Daly, with 13 total tackles, led the MSU team for the fifth time this season
SPECIAL TEAMS: P Tyler Bolton – 5-10, 193, So, Great Falls, MT
Tyler Bolton punted three times Saturday, averaging 41.3 yards a kick with a long of 54 yards. He pinned Weber State inside the 20 once. Bolton made one of the biggest plays in the game on MSU’s first drive of the second half. Standing in his own end zone, Bolton made a one-handed grab of a high snap and nailed a 54-yarder on the move to get MSU out of trouble. Weber State blocked one of Bolton’s punts (officially a team punt), but failed to return all three of his official punts.
OTHER NOTES: MSU had a punt blocked for the second time this season, when Tyler DeBry smothered a punt in the end zone for a safety… Josh Lewis returned four punts for 52 yards, including a spectacular 33-yarder… Chase Gazzerro’s 12-yard run out of punt formation marked the first time MSU has converted a fake punt this season… Jeff Hastings is now 17-for-17 on field goal attempts inside 40 yards after nailing a 29-yarder on Saturday
OFFENSIVE LINE: OT Joe Hirst – 6-7, 296, Sr, Spokane, WA
