Bobcat Cagers Scrimmage Friday

Brad Huse knows his first Montana State men's basketball squad is making progress. He'll get a better idea how much on Friday afternoon, when the Bobcats scrimmage at 5 pm in Worthington Arena.
"I think we've accomplished a lot," MSU's first-year head coach said. "It's a learning process, and it's just as important for me to figure out what they're capable of absorbing as it is for them to figure out what to expect from me. I'm pleased with the effort and the focus they've given so far."
Only two starters return from last year's 15-15 squad, guard Casey Durham and forward Nick Dissly. Center Ted Morris saw considerable action last year, as did swing player Carson Durr.
While lauding the returners for their leadership, Huse said he and his staff haven't locked in on roles yet. "I haven't even stopped to think about lineups or rotations," he said, indicating that the coaches have implemented most of the team's offensive and defensive schemes.
"That will be a work in progress, but a lot of the primary stuff is implemented," he said.
MSU's scrimmage is expected to last about 90 minutes, and is free and open to the public.
