INJURY REPORT: Quarterback Cory Carpenter missed his second straight game with a high ankle sprain on Saturday, and remains highly doubtful for Weber State. RB Evin Groves (knee) enters the week probable, but didn’t play against Idaho State. DE Paul Bartsch (shoulder) is the only other Bobcat out or doubtful.

TEAM NOTES
• Montana State is 4-0 on the road for the first time since 1956, when the Bobcats won all four of their road games and finished 4-0-1 away from home
• The Bobcats’ 4-0 road record in 2006 stands in contrast to the team’s marks in 2005 (1-4), 2004 (1-4), 2003 (2-4), and 2002 (2-5)
• MSU won both its games in domed stadiums this year, the second time the Bobcats have done so in the past three seasons, and now owns a four-game winning streak indoors
• The Bobcats allowed 212 yards in the first three quarters Saturday before Idaho State exploded for 191 fourth-quarter yards
• Montana State has allowed just 27 first downs in the last three games combined, including no more than 15 in any one contest
• Idaho State became the first team in the last five games to throw for over 300 yards against Montana State

INDIVIDUAL NOTES/PLAYER OF THE WEEK NOMINEES
OFFENSE: WR Mike Jefferson – 6-2, 205, Sr, El Paso, TX
Mike Jefferson set a Montana State record (since 1966) with 305 all-purpose yards and tied another with five touchdowns, leading the Bobcats to a 42-35 win at Idaho State on Saturday. Jefferson’s 207 receiving yards stands as the fifth-best game in school history, gives him two of the top five marks at MSU (he holds the school record with 239 yards at Northern Arizona). He has posted back-to-back receiving games of over 100 yards. Jefferson also rushed twice for 67 yards, scoring touchdowns on both carries. Both touchdown runs came in the fourth quarter, the first giving MSU a 35-18 lead and the second with under two minutes left sealing the win. Jefferson also returned a kickoff 31 yards, and his five touchdowns matches a 40-year old record set by On “Iron Tumbleweed” Hass against North Dakota in 1966.
OTHER NOTES: Jack Rolovich’s 323-yard passing effort at Idaho State last week marked the 38th time in school history a quarterback has passed for 300 yards or more… coupled with his 302-yard game at Sacramento State the week before, Rolovich became the third quarterback to pass the 300-yard mark in consecutive weeks (Kelly Bradley managed streaks of six games and two games in 1984, while Travis Lulay managed a six-game streak in 2004)… either Rolovich or Cory Carpenter have passed the 300-yard mark four times in MSU’s eight games this season… Aaron Mason has scored at least one rushing touchdown in the last four games… Mason has rushed for 510 yards this season… Michael Jefferson has 771 receiving yards, which leaves him less than 100 yards from entering MSU’s single-season top 10 list.

Marcosus LeBlanc led Montana State with 10 tackles in the 42-35 win at Idaho State.
OTHER NOTES: Montana State registered three sacks on Satuday, one each by Clive Lowe, Reyshawn Bobo and Will Claggett… MSU failed to intercept a pass for the first time in three games at Idaho State… Idaho State gained 212 yards combined in the first three quarters last week, 181 yards in the fourth quarter.

Dane Fletcher posted four tackles for MSU’s kick and punt cover units on Saturday.
OTHER NOTES: The Bobcats suffered four first-half penalties Saturday, all in the punt and kick return games… Jeff Hastings missed his second consecutive field goal, a 42-yarder, and remains perfect as a Bobcat from inside 40 yards… Josh Lewis had 109 yards on four kickoff returns, but muffed a punt into the end zone that resulted in a safety… for the second straight week, a botched short snap resulted in a missed extra point try.

Joe Hirst paced an offensive line effort that produced 436 total yards against Idaho State on Saturday. The Bobcats rushed for 113 yards and threw for 323 Saturday, with two different players rushing for over 65 yards. The Bobcats surrendered only two sacks. Hirst had a key block on Michael Jefferson’s 57-yard end-around for a touchdown.
