Jefferson Lands National Honor

Senior receiver Mike Jefferson grabbed headlines by setting a school record with 239 receiving yards in MSU's 39-32 win at Northern Arizona on Saturday, and did so again Monday by earning a pair of player-of-the-week awards.
Jefferson earned Big Sky Conference player of the week honors, and shared Sports Network national honors with New Hampshire's Ricky Santos. The honor was the second national player of the week award for a Bobcat player this year, as quarterback Cory Carpenter landed that honor after the season-opening win over Colorado.
Montana State returns to action on Saturday, hosting 15th-ranked Portland State at Bobcat Stadium at 1:35 pm. The 'Cats carry a three-game home losing streak into Saturday's game.
