“We talked about consistency of performance in pre-game,” said Bobcat head coach Tricia Binford. “We talked about taking the next step. However, we weren’t prepared. Eastern Washington out-worked us in every category.”
The Eagles held a 37-23 advantage at intermission, and increased the margin early in the second stanza by shooting 63 percent from the floor.
Eastern Washington (8-9, 2-2) had three players in double-figures led by Jamie Chicane with 18 points. Felice Moore and Julie Page added 16 and 10 points, respectively.
Montana State (2-14, 1-3) was led by Scotta Morton with 14 points, including three 3-pointers. Also in double-digits was Alyssa Nelson with 13 points on 5-of-10 from the field.
MSU will be at Portland State on Saturday afternoon.
