Four Honorees, Team Join Wendy's Hall

Four Bobcat greats and one of the dominant teams in MSU Athletics history earn induction into the Wendy's of Montana MSU Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday night in Bozeman.
Football players Paul Dennehy and Mike McLeod, volleyball standout Maggie Koughan, and men's basketball coach Roger Craft join the 1985 and '86 women's cross country teams as 2005 Inductees. Dennehy was All-Big Sky quarterback as a sophomore in 1976, when he led the 'Cats to Big Sky and NCAA Division II championships. He finished his career second on MSU's all-time passing and total offense lists. The scrappy southpaw from Butte was a three-year starter.
McLeod, a second generation Bobcat, was a Second Team All-Big Sky cornerback who played for Edmonton in the CFL and Green Bay in the NFL after his Bobcat career. He played on a pair of Big Sky Championship teams, and his 89-yard interception return in 1979 broke a 20-year old record held by his father, Jim.
Koughan, a three-time All-Mountain West Conference choice from Woodinville, Wash., remains third-best in MSU history. Her 220 career service aces is still a school record. Koughan was chosen for the Big Sky Conference All-Decade Team.
Craft won 92 games at Montana State, and led the Bobcats to a pair of Big Sky crowns. His 1967 team won the prestigious All-College Tournament in Oklahoma City, one of the nation's top in-season tourneys.
The 1985 and '86 cross country teams won Mountain West Conference Championships. Annette Hand won the '85 Big Sky Championship, while Molly Tritle, Theresa Zacher and Kathleen Monaghan each earned all-league kudos.
The ceremony is Friday night, and the inductees will be honored during Saturday's Montana State-North Dakota State football game.
