Matt Leinart. Drew Olson. Brad Smith. Travis Lulay.
Travis Lulay?
Lulay, Montana State's record-setting senior quarterback, joins 21 other top collegiate quarterbacks as candidates for the prestigious Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, presented by the Frank Camp Chapter of the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Educational Foundation. Lulay, the only I-AA player on the list and one of only two players below Division I-A so honored, is also a candidate for the Walter Payton Trophy, presented to the top player in Division I-AA.
Lulay joins an impressive list of quarterbacks, including reigning Heismann Trophy winner Matt Leinart of USC, Drew Olson of UCLA, Brad Smith of Missouri, and Texas A&M's Reggie McNeal. Brett Elliott of Linfield College joins Lulay as the only non-Division I-A players on the list. For consideration, a student-athlete must be entering his final season of collegiate eligibility. Candidates are considered based on athletic and academic achievement and citizenship.
